Henry and his wife, Eleanor, moved to Tunbridge Wells in 1842.
The town held fond memories for him as a boy, as his father had relatives in the area that he would visit.
Henry's father also went to school in the town and was a master at Tonbridge School before he was ordained. A plaque was unveiled in 2015 to commemorate this connection, and you can read about it on the Kent Online website here.
Henry and Eleanor lived at Little Grove House, which is in modern-day Cumberland Gardens.
Henry died of gastritis at home on March 12th, 1850 and is buried in Woodbury Park Cemetery. His grave is clearly marked today.
